The  French Mathematical Society (SMF)  organizes a meeting on Statistical Learning during May  2011.
The meeting will be part of the series entitled "Etats de la recherche " (see for example  the Toulouse meeting).
It  will consist of three mini-courses (made of three sessions of 1h30 for each course) plus nine lectures (30 mn each). The total duration of the meeting will be three days.

It will take place in downtown Paris, at Institut Henri Poincare Institut Henri Poincaré between May 9th and may 11th.

The purpose of the meeting is:

  • to introduce new fields of mathematics to non experts
  • to promote interactions between researchers using similar mathematical structures.

The expected audience will be composed of mathematicians and computer scientists with a Master degree at least, mostly PhD students or
confirmed researchers, not necessarily familiar with the topic of the meeting.
